Phogot ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a personal note-capture application developed independently. For any question or request about this policy, contact us at skappcompany@gmail.com.
Everything you create in Phogot — notes, tags, templates, checklists, reminders, photos, drawings, and voice recordings — is stored locally on your device. We have no access to this content and it is never uploaded to our servers.
Backups you export yourself (a .zip, JSON, or Excel file) are written wherever you
choose. If you turn on automatic backup, the app writes a backup file into a
folder you pick — typically a folder synced by your own Google Drive or other cloud app. That
file goes directly from your device to that folder; we never receive it or have access to it.
Android's own system backup may include the app's local database and settings in your Google account backup if you have that feature enabled. That is handled by Android and Google, not by us, and your app-lock PIN is explicitly excluded from it.
To run subscriptions and the AI allowance, the app creates an anonymous account for your install through Firebase Authentication (a Google service). This account has no name, email, phone number, or password — just a random identifier generated on your device.
Linked to that anonymous identifier, we store a single small record containing only:
This record contains no note content and no personal identifiers. It is hosted on Google Firebase (Cloud Functions and Cloud Firestore) in the United States.
Phogot includes optional AI features — for example generating notes from text, summarising a note, an "analyse" digest across several notes, tag suggestions, "grow"/"enrich" prompts, and transcribing a voice recording.
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand which features are used, in aggregate — for example how often a screen is opened or a note is saved with a tag. Events contain only simple flags and counts. They do not include the content of your notes and are not used to identify you.
Phogot does not use the Android advertising ID, does not show ads, and does not share data with advertisers. Firebase's privacy information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
The free trial and the daily-streak bonus can only be claimed once per device. To enforce that
across app reinstalls, the app reads Android's ANDROID_ID (a per-device, per-app
identifier), converts it to an irreversible SHA-256 hash on your device, and sends only
that hash to our server. The hash is used exclusively to record "this device has already used a
trial / reached a streak milestone". It is never linked to your notes, and no personal data is
attached to it.
We also use Firebase App Check with the Play Integrity API (Google) so our AI endpoints only accept requests from a genuine, unmodified install of the app. This sends device/app integrity signals to Google; it does not send your content.
Phogot Pro is sold through Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details — Google handles the entire transaction. To confirm a purchase is valid, the app sends the Google Play purchase token and product ID to our Cloud Functions, which check it against Google's Play Developer API and store the result described in section 3. Purchase history is managed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data in the app (section 9) does not cancel a Google Play subscription — manage or cancel that from the Play Store.
| Recipient | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google — Firebase (Auth, Cloud Functions, Firestore, App Check, Analytics) | Anonymous account ID; subscription & AI-usage record; hashed device ID; time zone; anonymous usage events; app-integrity signals | Run the account, subscriptions, AI allowance, anti-abuse checks, and aggregate analytics |
| Groq, Inc. | Only the note text or audio for an AI action you explicitly trigger | Generate the AI result you asked for |
| Google Play | Your purchase (handled by Google); we receive only a purchase token to verify it | Process and validate subscriptions |
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
In the app: open Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all my data. This permanently erases every note, tag, template, reminder, drawing and voice recording on the device, all your settings, and the anonymous account record on our server (section 3), and removes the anonymous account itself.
Local only: you can also clear the app's data in Android Settings, or uninstall the app, to remove everything stored on the device.
By request: email skappcompany@gmail.com from any address and we will delete the server account record associated with your app if you can help us identify it.
What is kept: the irreversible device hashes used for trial/streak abuse prevention (section 6) are retained even after deletion, as permitted for fraud prevention. They contain no personal data and cannot be used to recover your notes or account. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics that has already been combined into totals is also retained.
All communication between the app and our servers, and between our servers and our processing partners, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). The server-side account record is protected by Firebase access rules that permit no direct client access. Your notes never leave your device except for the specific, user-initiated cases described above.
Our Firebase backend runs in the United States, and our AI processing partner processes requests in the United States. If you use Phogot from outside the United States, the limited data described in this policy is transferred to and processed there.
Phogot is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold no name or contact details for you, the practical way to exercise these rights is the in-app deletion above or an email request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
